I was afraid to say Lene’s name for about 3 months after we became friends. I’m reeeeeally bad at pronunciations. You should hear me try to say any italian piano term, or speak French, or any accent really. I’m bad. reeeeeeeeally bad. Then, one day upon getting her voicemail after she failed to answer my call I planned on leaving a simple message like, “Hey! Just wanted to touch base about what time we were hoping to get together again this week. Call me when you can!” Ya. That’s the voicemail I had planned on leaving but then my long winded truthfullness came out and I ended up leaving a 6 minute explanation about my fear to pronounce her name and my apologies for it. In case your wondering it’s pronounced Lean-uh. Not len-eh. Repeated THAT one about 7 times in my head after that voicemail disaster.
Lene is just about my favorite thing ever. Get togethers with her could last for hours discussing photography, piano and dating. These three categories could keep us at any restaurant til close no problem-oh. We finally brought our cameras along to one of our get togethers. It was our first ever film expedition so go easy on us. Her gorgeousness makes it pretty easy to LOVE these photos. Next note to self. Don’t send film to london drugs for development. You’ll end up spending time trying to fix they’re exposures in photoshop anyways.
